NaNOFIRE Flame Retardant

FIRE PROTECTION FOR WOOD, FABRICS AND PAPER

CLASS 1 REACTION TO FIRE – UNI 9177

NaNOFIRE – flame-retardant treatment

NaNOFIRE is a professional water-based formulation that inhibits the spread of flame on porous materials such as wood, fabrics and paper. It is classified as Class 1 reaction to fire according to standard UNI 9177.

It penetrates porous materials, forming a protective barrier that prevents ignition, limits the development of the flame and reduces heat release in case of exposure to fire. It promotes self-extinguishing of the treated material without significantly altering its aesthetic appearance or breathability, subject to testing on a sample.

inhibits the spread of flame

slows the burning rate

promotes self-extinguishing of the treated material

does not significantly alter the aesthetic appearance or breathability of fabrics

Compatible materials

Fabrics: most natural fibres (cotton, linen, jute) and synthetic fibres (polyester, nylon).

Wood: solid wood, plywood, MDF and derivatives, both raw and previously treated. Always subject to an absorption check.

Application

The product is applied by spraying, by immersion or with a brush and roller, at temperatures between +5 °C and +35 °C. Drying takes about 1 hour at 20 °C and is complete in 4 hours. We always recommend a preliminary test on a small surface to check compatibility and aesthetic result.

Safety and compliance

NaNOFIRE has undergone reaction-to-fire tests at MTIC InterCert S.r.l. and obtained Class 1 according to standard UNI 9177, with 0 seconds of afterburn, 0 seconds of afterglow and no dripping in the tests carried out. The cycle subjected to testing provides for 465 g/m² of wet product, applied by brush, roller or spray.

Test reports are available on request. The classification refers to the samples and to the application conditions provided for in the relevant test reports. Product formulated for professional use, to be stored in a cool, dry place, protected from frost and heat sources.

Fields of use

Curtains and textile coverings, trade-fair stands, stages and scenery, wooden structures and furniture for public and private spaces, temporary structures, contract and marine sectors (subject to specific certification).
